Ocoee, Florida March 27, 2018— Element Commercial Construction, LLC announces the completion of the Innovation Montessori Charter School Campus in Ocoee, Florida. The 12 acre site includes ground up construction of three buildings totaling 57,000 square-feet, along with significant onsite and offsite road and utility improvements. The project was completed in 7 months from issuance of building permits with a grand opening in January 2018. Joe Bruno, President of Building Hope, Inc., said this was “one of our nicest projects, if not the nicest project” they have have completed.
The campus will be home to 125 pre-schoolers and 800 kindergarten through eighth grade students. The design reflects the priorities of the school, which includes: large classrooms with natural light, natural landscaping, and direct access to expansive outdoor play areas.
Innovation Montessori Ocoee is passionate about the environment, not only teaching their students about respecting the environment, but leading by example. They selected a site which was home to hundreds of mature oaks, making it the perfect location for their campus. The board of directors was adamant about protecting and saving as many trees as possible and challenged the design and construction team accommodate their vision. The unique site design and building placement helped preserve the beautiful trees, making the campus feel as if it had been there for many years.
